During these times of uncertainty, we would like to share our knowledge and recommendations.
DID YOU KNOW?
Should we be using hand dryers or cleaning machines with suction motors?
Filtration – What’s the difference?
HEPA (High Efficiency Particle Air)
There are many classes of HEPA filtration, typically HEPA filtration is certified to block 99.95% of particles 300 nanometres in size. Covid-19 is 60-140nm. Based on this information it is possible Covid-19 can pass through HEPA filtration.
ULPA (Ultra Low Particle Air)
ULPA Filtration will remove 99.999% of particles with a size of 100 nanometres. Covid-19 ranges from 60-140nm. ULPA Filtration therefore offers a much higher degree of protection against the virus versus HEPA.
Hand dryers could increase the risk of transmission.
What does the future look like after the Coronavirus pandemic?
“Covid-19 will change how the world cleans forever. I like to think to the future and imagine how things will be. After this pandemic, customers will want to see businesses using professional cleaning equipment and cleaning methods, to give them peace of mind and trust in that business. Old fashioned, in-effective cleaning tools will no longer be accepted by the vast majority of the population. The current lockdown period is an opportunity for all businesses to think seriously about their cleaning methods, and the image it gives to their customers.
I see a world coming where all touch points will become automatic. Automatic lights, door opening, toilet flushing, hand soap dispensing and paper towel dispensing. Automation will vastly reduce the risk of touching contaminated surfaces and infecting yourself. I also see new innovations in auto sanitising of other essential touch surfaces, and a rise in fast room sanitising equipment.”
